I am enclosing a copy of a letter from Dana Murch at DEP. As you can
see, Dana has ordered Mr. Fortier to close the spillway gates
immediately. The significance of this letter is that the order took
place after Dana consulted with MEMA regarding the safety of
the dam. Dana has informed me that if he doesn't hear from Mr. Fortier
that he has complied within a couple of days, he will turn the matter
over to the Attorney General's office to force the issue.
